I have 3, girls are 5 and 3 and a baby boy at 9 months, he just started walking at Thanksgiving currently helping me put away dishes.

And what chickens you're planning on getting

I had Barr Rock and Easter Eggers, and a couple odds and ends, and I did meat birds. I think I will do the meat again and I really enjoyed my Easter Eggers, not committed to anything else yet.

Nice. How big of a flock are you hoping to have?

I don't know yet. I had about a dozen, but I had a racoon family move into my barn while I was distracted by having a baby, and they decimated my flock. I have one old Leghorn rooster running around yet, lousy thing, but gotta respect him.
Yes I keep busy, I keep dreaming of becoming a Homesteader, but babies keep distracting me.
