I was hoping so. still am.
We took the pool down year or so ago, and we have been chasing that stuff everytime the wind blows! I think it will do more good for the Chickens. Only one of my Chickens even gets close to the ceiling so I am not worried about picking / pecking!

That would be my concern with using it. Silly chickens will eat stuff like that but if you can get it high enough to where they can't reach it, should be ok!

DH is concerned that spiders wasps and possibly rodents may try to home between roof and insulation. I am not sure how to make sure that does not happen.

Yes that's a concern. Plus you don't want insulation blocking any ventilation ,

We have 2 very large windows in the winter I cover this one with that silver roll insulation from the outside. I would actually like to put a screen door on so I could open the big door for more airflow in the summer. when I cannot be out with them. The run is on the other side.

I dont understand? there is another window on the opposite side of the coop for a cross breeze. and it is not sealed at the top.

Oh... are the windows just openings covered in wire? I thought they were... windows...

Yes I am in Texas, as you may relate, just a hole in the coop covered in hardware cloth. to keep the Ladies in and the Rats out!

DH thinks this coop only proves I am over protective. He wanted to do a roof and back for coop and laying boxes. lol After much convincing We did it my way
