I will need a lot of coffee today. Only fours hour sleep in split shifts.
Got to go check the rain catcher in the dining room. Roof sprung a leak and it's going to rain all week.

Our leaves are still falling off the trees despite the rain we have had. I think we are having early fall. Maybe a long cold winter. Guess we need to savor the heat now.

I wonder if that's why my chickens are going into molts already and some of my tomatoes are already ripening

I won't let dh get on the roof while it's raining. He will fix it when the rain is gone. It won't take him but a few minutes. He wanted to get up there yesterday in the rain. But with 4 crushed disks I did not want to risk him falling off the wet ladder.

Right now it is Ash season moving into rain season.

@Alaskan was all agitated when someone posted a picture of fireweed in full bloom. Apparently when fireweed goes to seed winter is near. Just poking the bear.
