Yeah... starting to panic.... my kids are starting to leave me... no idea how old folks manage to do stuff without kids in the house.

Blows my mind that people think Homer is a great place to retire. Shoveling for 4 hours a day.... and chopping and hauling wood... and the plowing.... and hauling water....

I need to downsize

My are moving on too. Only 1 left in house. Feels empty until I look at the dishes by the sink

The kitchen is a disaster area. Hubby helps out with the dishwasher loading and unloading. Gosh i miss that guy!

I tell him every time we speak by phone. It is empty here without him.

You may need to come up with alternative ways to do things. A bit of hired help? A snow blower? Less animals?

It is tough to do! Since I went down to 6 hens, it has been a lot less work here for me
