When I went to the hospital with Dd, we took the baby. Dh was to get the older 2 from the bus stop, and watch them until we got back home. Later on, I got a text message from Dh. Yes, he got the kids from the bus stop, and they all went swimming in the pool. Apparently things got a bit chaotic.

At some point, my grandson was standing by the pool, whipped out his wee wee, and peed in the pool. Dh was aghast, and got onto him about it. That rotten kid told his grandfather that I TOLD HIM IT WAS OK TO DO THAT. A bit later, the weather got nasty, so he told the kids to dry off, and go get dressed. My granddaughter stripped, and refused to put any clothes on. She told him no one had taught her to get dressed by herself, so she would just wait to get dressed until we got home. He sent her to her room, and made her shut the door. Of course, he had to text message me with all this.

I called, and told him to put the kids on the phone. I told my grandson that if he peed in the pool like that again, he'd be on restriction, and I didn't appreciate him lying to grandpa saying that I said it was ok. Then I told him to put his sister on the phone. He told her I wanted to talk to her, so she hung up the phone, and hid it under her pillow, so no one would hear it ringing when I called back.

Apparently, just before we got home, my granddaughter magically figured out how to dress herself. Yes, we got onto the kids about what they did. They played grandpa like a fiddle. BTW, the baby behaved herself beautifully. I took a tablet with some of the games she likes on it, and some of her favorite cartoons on it. Between the tablet, and walking around at times, it kept her occupied, and she did just fine.

:lau don't really mean to laugh but you have to admit that's funny!
Both of my nieces did something similar, one took all her clothes off and just started walking around naked, the other sees this and decided she would do the same. About that time both their parents come outside and gave me a dirty look...about the same time one of them decides to pee right by her father's foot. Both of them look at each other and say at the same time, "I didn't teach her that". :lau

:lauYour place sounds like mine at times :hugs

Glad you got some rest.

@getaclue I'm expecting more grandkid stories over the years. I did teach younger grandson how to pee outside. Apparently I neglected to mention that we do not make it a public endeavor.
:lau

I let them slide with a warning. He won't be pulling that stunt again anytime soon. Sometimes it's a zoo around here.
