BYC Café

I got read the riot act about being on here all of the time. So I went cold turkey. Gonna try to sneak on when I can.

How have you been? What's up in the wonderful world of IM?

I can relate so I'm on during the day when no one else is home. Not so much in eves any more.

Got some quail growing out and a rooster too. Not much really. What's new with you?

What breeds?
My flock has definitely grown in size. I've got 2 coops now. 1 for boys and one for girls and young ones. As they're heritage breeds they're growing slowly. Culling probably won't happen until the end of Nov. Hunting season starts on Thursday, so everyone I know isn't able to help with anything until the season is over.

Wow you've been busy! What heritage breeds are you raising?

My little roo is a very naked naked neck. I'm thrilled with him so far and hope he'll be a nice guy when he grows up. The quail are coturnix, new additions six weeks ago, raising for meat and eggs.

Good afternoon. I slept in because i was up late carving on a pumpkin for the contest. Then at 2 am i heard peeping!

Nice!
I hatched buckeye and white chantecler. I also accidentally ended up with 3 silkie/ buckeye crosses. The cockerels are striking.

I got a LGD in mid September. His name is Bingo. He's a purebred Karakachan. Such a good boy. He chased a pack of dogs from the reservation away, and is keeping the coyotes from getting too close ( which they're desperately trying to do right now). He is only 4 months old and already doing his job well!
