I've got the stove going. Leek and potato soup slow cooking on the top of the stove.
It's not exactly cold, but by the time I've got the donkeys, sheep, Muscovys and chickens off to bed I'm pretty well soaked.
It's still $%^&*£ raining!

Does it get cold enough in your area to snow? Your soup sounds good!

Sure, it's 300 metres above sea level. It snows most years but nothing serious.
Lowest temp I can recall was -9 degrees centigrade. What makes the place absolutely gorgeous compared to the UK is most winters you get brilliant sunshine in the winter and at mid day sometimes it's hot. Once the sun goes over the ridge the temperature drops like a stone.
