Vet called at 3:30 made it to the office in 40 minutes came home the back way in 50 minutes, fog lifted, got home before it was completely dark. 'Something There Is' that likes me. Uncle Jay is a bit groggy, but I fed him about half ration and he ate. He's had a pain shot and I'm to keep him on Rimadyl for pain, antibiotics and mushy feed for at least 2 weeks.
Best wishes that Uncle Jay makes a speedy recovery. Bear hugs to you and your sweet lil guy. ..... ❤️

Hope he recovers soon. How many teeth did they extract?

Fuji goes in tomorrow for surgery too. She is having 4 MCTs removed, one on her chest, one one each side of her body and one at left side base of her tail. Over the 6 years I've had her, she has already had 4 MCTs removed so this will bring her total to 8. She is going to be one hurting little girl. It is so hard to deal with them being in pain. I'm going to be a mess.

@DobieLover, I have used Rimadyl for arthritic pain, and it is great. Have never had it prescribed post surgically. Long term it is necessary to monitor liver function. Mention the possibility to your vet.
The last two MCTs were taken mid-Dec 2017. She had been given pain meds while under anesthesia. They gave her Rimadyl after she woke up. She was still a shaking, quaking crying mess when I picked her up which immediately transferred to me and I embarrassed myself in the vet waiting room.
I had to pick up a prescription of tramadol at WM. Rimadyl and tramadol combined have an outstanding synergistic effect and she fell right to sleep. I only had to keep her on pain meds for 3 or 4 days before she starting bouncing around far too much for my liking so I stopped the meds to let her feel her incisions a bit so she wouldn't tear them open.
I spoke with the office manager today about wanting the tramadol on board before I leave with her tomorrow. Hopefully, it won't be as bad this time around.
On a side note, I hear thunder. Yes, it is raining AGAIN but it is very strange to hear thunder in winter.

Prayers going up for your baby! Keep us posted! I known how scary it is.

How can I tell my uncle to slow down when driving? I feel like I'm going to die whenever I am his passenger. He doesn't even follow the rules that you have to stop and let civilians cross the street. I do drive, but there are times wherein I go on a ride with them to save gasoline.
Just flat out tell him. Sounds like he's dangerous and will end up hurting someone.
