Hey! Glad you could make it! I have so far, thank you. I am dog sitting this weekend so that’s been fun. Have you had a good morning?

Thank you for the welcome! Dog sitting? Sounds fun! Yes, a very good morning! The temps have been cooler lately, I prefer warmer temps (it was in the 70s on Thursday!)

Doin' good! How bout yourself? Weather is chilly but dry. Course down here in Alabama it's pretty mild compared to the northern states.

Of course! And yeah it’s definitely fun! They are my friend’s family’s two Goldens. It is fun for sure but one is non stop lol I am trying to start a pet sitting business. I have been walking/playing with/somewhat training my brother and his fiancé’s dogs since May (well, they only added a second one in September), usually 2 times a week but sometimes 3 or more or going back to feed dinner if they work late and I have watched the dogs for them several times too and then now a few weeks ago I got another job letting their neighbors dog’s out on Wednesdays. And then I got this job for this weekend and the week after next I am watching my brother’s dogs again this month is really busy and I love it. It’s definitely fun. I love dogs so I want to do the pet sitting/dog walking thing and possibly get certified as a professional trainer. Hopefully it is at least sunny despite being cooler? Yesterday it was in the low 50s here, and Monday and Tuesday it was in the 60s, but then today it is 32. Was 24 when I woke up.

Kelsey, you would be a great pet setter! I would offer 1 piece of advice though, look into becoming bonded. This will protect you if something happens to one of your clients pets while you're in charge.

Thank you! I appreciate that! And yeah I plan on buying insurance and bonding or whatever, I think it comes as a combo or add on. It’s only a couple hundred bucks a year but worth it if I start getting more clients. Was thinking of doing Rover but they take 20% so I decided it’s cheaper to just pay for my own insurance.

I did really well as a medical needs sitter, with my vet tech training and licensing. Used to pull down $50 per hour working with all feline vet.
