Thanks for the 'safe travel' wishes. They worked we are safely home. Had a good visit but left early as they were liquid salt treating all roads and calling for freezing rain/snow starting at 7. Grand daughter with the health issues is doing well. It appears that a break from the pressures of college is good for her. Sean, thanks for the coffee. I am caffeine deprived as I severely limit my intake when traveling.

I bought some chicks! Rural king had assorted bantams and LF cochins. I want some broodies, i hope they don't end up all roosters!

Not really sure, i think 11 but she put in some free ones cause they had pasty butt or whatever. Maybe 13 or 14.

Nice! I wanted some Cochins because I think having a broody would be cool but I’m trying to add more layers to the flock first haha

That’s kind of nice you got some free ones, although hopefully they aren’t too sick. It is nice they give them away rather than just take them to the back and kill them like I think some places do

They all looked ok when i got home except for one little guy. I will be surprised if it makes it.
