BYC Café

Good morning, Sean. Friend/handler is at a field trial in Kentucky so I will go to his house to check on a litter of pups, then to TSC and the Amish market and finally to the club if this dratted rain stops. I spent about 4 hours at the club yesterday and plan on being there most of tomorrow - Sunday it's off to Annapolis for son's 54th birthday.

Morning Cafe.
I've put another pot on.
Mother Nature is up to Her bad jokes again. I got the dogs ready to go out then opened the curtain and the deck door. Ben slammed on the brakes when he saw all the sloppy snow and the rain dripping off the roof. I told him to let Her know what he thought about this treat and go pee on it.
We actually have a winter weather advisory today for 1 - 4 inches of snow and wind gust to 40 mph. I'm glad I now have 2' overhangs on the coop and installed rafter ties to hold it down.
My half century old body is objecting to all the work I did yesterday. I'm going to wait until late morning to get going again. In the meantime, I'll sip coffee in front of the glowing wood stove.

I could use some of that cool weather, was 86°F here yesterday.
At a half century, your still just a 'pup'! :lau
Give it a few more years....I like the idea of sippin coffee by a glowing wood stove or a fireplace. ;)

You explain that to my back!
I'm sure it was due to running the sawzall to do the cutouts. At least I only have 2 cutouts to do today.

Yep, sometimes the things we do and don't really have any trouble doing, backfire on us the next day! I'm always discovering muscles I didn't know I had. :gig

Good morning! Thanks for the coffee. We have snow showers as well but not supposed to get any accumulation more than an inch. I don't think the sheep will get sheared today though...
DL, your coop is looking great! I think it is a "go to town day" for lack of much else to do in this weather and I need to get some stuff for when the nice weather hits in a day or so. DS$ has no wrestling this weekend, just supporting a friend and having a birthday, but next weekend is a huge tournament in IA. Hopefully the flooding and any issues with the roads will be subsiding. What a mess it is for those farmers out there in the "bread basket"... I like to think of CA as the "fruit basket"
but not in a negative way that some people say. ;):hugs

Morning everyone...I just fixed up another pot of coffee if anyone besides me wants some. Move over Dobie, I want to sit in front of your wood stove too!

Margie, hope you can make the IA trip without any flooding problems.

Don't think we're in for any snow but our humidity is up to 97% which is almost unheard of here.
