I think I may have missed something! I thought you were posting about your hens hiding their nests when you mentioned that you were giving a talk the other day. That seems not to be the case, so tell us what talk you gave!

4 people were invited to give a talk on 'specialist' topics, Catalan donkeys, free range chickens keeping , free range pig keeping, and Salamanders.
No prizes for guessing.
Half an hour each topic. A bit of a talk and then questions.

Better than expected given the chicken lot have been doing it for years.
A bit strange given many here don't keep their chickens in coops. Some had no idea how many they had.
Vet care is virtually unheard of and only the special breed keepers are particularly interested in behavior and they are very interested.

It seems to be that way in foreign countrys. I would think the special breed keepers would be more interested in genetics or is that too deep a subject.
