BYC Café

Not again! I feel like we are trading back and forth :( let summer begin!
We were at 84 yesterday but go to 71 for a high today.

It was too hot to go up into the attic yesterday. I will get up there this morning to attach the new attic fan and get the wiring finished

I woke up to 2 more poults, so that makes 5! Plus 2 more pipped. Still waiting on the chicks to start.
Nice!

Two more quail hatched last night. I need to count the eggs that did not hatch to see how many I have. They move too quickly to count. It should be 29 or 30 hatched now though

Of course everything is black and white DD. I know this from watching westerns. The good guys wear the white hats and the bad guys wear black. Honestly DD, don't you know anything.:p:lol:
And the west was actually very tame!

Murders, robberies and such were actually very low.

Hi cafe,

I made more coffee, help yourselves!

I've been looking into selling eggs rather than giving them away. Not much red tape and no fees included. Still in the early stages, but I'm excited to start something I've wanted to do for a while but family obligations prevented from happening. I don't want to get rich, but it will be nice to have help with the feed bill.

That's because you had John Wayne isn't it.;)

Good grief no! He was always getting into trouble! Shooting bad guys, fighting, drinking...don't put any of that on the Duke Shad

Around here eggs go for between $2.50 and $5.00 per dozen. The $5/dozen place has roughly a half acre pen (Moveable electric fencing) and a moveable coop. Birds are situated right along the road so folks can see that they are free ranged - they sell out daily. Nothing wrong with helping to cover costs.

Ah, I see. I guess Ronnot1 is looking at a different set of statistics to those that got taught when I was in school.;)

Wow, eggs are cheap where you are. Free range eggs here (large) around 4 Euros for half a dozen.
