So update on the DB: he apparently was overwhelmed by his AP classes that he neglected his other classes. He didn’t want to let anyone down so I told him that I failed some of my classes in high school too. AP European History was too much for me. He didn’t want to seem weak to anyone by dropping the class and going to something he could handle with his other workload. I told him he’s not stupid but he is dumb for thinking that :lau. We got home and he went to his room as per the grounding. Told mom about it and she’s going to talk to dad about letting him off. DS is going out to get him a new book since she was told too.

My Youngest DDs school had an online portal to check on progress and grades. It was very helpful

So how many nests did you miss?
Iv'e still got a broody hen, did have two but one caught lice.
I brought her inside gave her a pine oil bath and apparently that was enough to change her mind on the kids. Too much of a hassle I suppose, lice removal puts a kink in the best plans.:gig
I couldn't find two that I know of. Something else did though and the hens abandoned them. I'm now up to 14 cases of broody hens this year.
I sat and ended up with one chick. Unfortunately it didn't last long.:(
The ones I don't want to sit are determined to sit just as soon as they got a few eggs.
The two I would like to sit it seems have got to have a mountain of eggs first.:he

Tense night here last night. Over the past couple of years our golden retriever , Dani, has had a couple of spells of extreme lethargy and apparent pain generally following periods of stress. Twice about 24 hours after grooming, and yesterday after freaking over Wednesday thunder storms. Last night was bad, and frankly I was concerned. We had an appointment for 10 AM, but today she is 85 % normal. She's 12, and with goldens there is always the concern of cancer. Canceled today's appointment and we will take her in next week for an extensive work up to see if we can define the problem. Vet is a friend, and I have his cell #. He told me that he is not going anywhere this holiday weekend and that I should call if she has any problems.
I hope Dani is at least comfortable Mr sourland. !2 years old is a good age.:love

It is not you! It is the topic that will get someone riled up and report it.

People get weird about reproductive topics sometimes
Yeah, I used to get a bit weird about reproductive topics especially when I suggested maybe we should leave out the reproductive bit and just have some fun and I got blanked.:lau

Miss @FlyingNunFarm is to thank for that. Story if you're interested.
My mom collected gnomes, when she passed away I got the gnomes and now people give me gnomes because mom liked them and I must too since I have so many.
What they don't know is i'm only in possession of the gnomes that were too scary to sell at the flea market and i've never bought a gnome in my life.
Iv'e accepted my fate, crazy gnome and chicken lady.
Nunny posted gnome chicken and immediately she's my avatar.
People are really too good to me sometimes. :D
It popped up on FB and I couldn’t help but share it with Chicky. I see gnomes everywhere now! LOL
