Kudos to you too! You can't buy pride and that is what you have in your work!

Morning all! I was up way toooo late last night. Ugh. It's my youngest's 8th birthday today so I'll be baking cupcakes to take to school for this afternoon. Got my knitting project done. I'm pleased with how it turned out!
400

You know, it's not cheaper to make something anymore versus buying it! The supply's for this pillow were $20 with everything on sale, without the sale it would've been $30!! For a pillow! Crazy.

True, not cheaper. BUT, you do get higher quality and exactly what you want when you make it. Also to find something to buy of similar quality is much more expensive. It looks great.

That is what I decided too.
I figured I would go buy some drapes for my son's room because material cost so much -and Sewing is less loved by me than painting... but ew.
It could not like anything that I liked that was made well.
Solid heavy curtain- not to be found.
But if you want a garish print on some yucky fabric, it's everywhere.

Too true. I think it's the "Made in China" thing. Not that I'm against China, our own government created that monster...but that's probably a discussion for another board!
I love the pillow, hand made by me! It's for my 18 month old niece. I still have an afghan that was knit by my great grandmother, sentimental value = priceless to me.
