Morning Cafe

Thanks for the coffee, Debby

After a hot day yesterday, had extreme thunderstorms come through last night, 60 to 70 mph straight line winds. Half dollar size hail. Lots of trees uprooted and limbs need to be cut up today.
Unfortunately, just another project to set me further behind...
On the bright side the temps are cooler today, the cold front has pushed through and a cool 76°F this morning.

Everyone make it a great day! :celebrate
Geez, Sean. That's the kind of setback I'm always fighting against too. Sorry to hear it. I still have that downed tree next to my shed I have to cut up.

Good morning, Cafe.
Thanks for the fresh pot, Debby.
Glad to hear Fudge is coming around with her eye injury, Shad.
IM, the cake looks awesome but I'll have to pass. I stopped eating that kind of thing about 1.5 years ago.
Stay safe out there, Ron. We deal with floods. That's easy to get away from. Fires, not so much so.
After a hard day working on finishing up the first row of piers (yes, I'm that far behind), I went into the coop for some chick TV. I passed out right where I was shortly after I took this picture. The kids aren't so terrified of me anymore. :)

It's like a chicken blanket!

:caf Good morning Café. Went to see the play in which the Princess is performing. I agree with the reviewer. The play is strangely constructed and confusing in parts, but the Princess is indeed 'brilliant' and 'obnoxiously endearing' in her performance and the actor who portrays her son does a great job. Afterwards we ate at Pineville Tavern and had a great, moderately priced meal. It's only about a 45 minute drive from home - we'll eat there again.

Sounds like a really good evening Sour...glad you & the Princess had it!

That's amazing.
Around my house absolutely nothing survives the sharks.
DH accidentally left the jar a fermenting chick mash on the floor of the pantry last week. Fuji found it and ate about 1/3 of the jar, maybe 2.5 cups. She looked like a sausage link about to burst the skin. These are the hazards of living was an Alzheimer's patient that are the most challenging. That could have killed her.

Whoa, that's a lot of fermented feed for one dog. Glad Fuji is ok!

Guess you had a pretty wild night there Sean. Wish we could all band up and come help with the clean up. Don't hurt yourself trying to do too much.

Good morning! Playing catch-up again because we had a lightning strike that took out the internet for a few days.
Cute puppy! Cute quail chicks! Ron, stay safe! Glad Fudge is doing better!
Cute pic, DL and hugs. Mine forgot to plug in the fence but I caught it after wrestling practice. :hmm
DS$ is in Spokane for the week for the National Duals. He is excited and very glad to be wrestling different people.
We had a lost baby moose for a day but it finally found its Mum and sibling after everyone stopped doing anything noise related for a few hours and apparently the horses were chasing it down towards its family too. Coincidence? Spooked up a bobcat checking out the crazy bird noises up on the hill. LOL! It was pretty, even at 5 feet away...
Sour, I am glad you and the Princess had the play going on and can get away from the house for a bit.
Not sure what else is going on. I saw snowflakes yesterday morning and it was cold- 33 ish.
I may have lost one of my pepper plants because it wasn't planted in the greenhouse with the other two. :hmm I came up with a mini greenhouse for it for last night, We will see.
Have a wonderful and great day you All.

Nice to see you in the Cafe Margie! We've had 2 cold nights in the 30's but today is supposed to be pretty and in the 70's...hope you get some of that too!

I forgot to mention that they had a raffle and I won a bottle of wine from Truro Vineyards on Cape Cod - the setting for the play. Pretty blue bottle in the shape of a lighthouse. Should I just pour out the wine and use it as a vase ?

Sure, it's yours to do with what you please!

Picture? Sounds pretty cool.
I'd drink the wine.

We have a cat that is some type of Maine Coon Cat mix. He acts like a dog and eats things that cats do not normally eat, like chocolate muffins from Costco....and is into everything!

It depends on what type of wine it is! Red makes good stew or pasta sauce. White wine is good in chicken stir fry and also for risotto.
