Finally got the old ignition switch off the lawn mower. Just needed a bigger hammer.

Yup, you can't beat a decent selection of hammers.

Had an uninvited guest in my pens this afternoon. Was up against a waterer,...waiting! It's a small one by most standards but still deadly.

Beautiful weather here and a truck full of lumber means a day of building. I hope my back cooperates.
HBIC is in full blown puffy pancake biting bitchy broody mode. She broke out of jail the first night and I had to move her into maximum security. She's in her cell letting all the chicks that are running around her know to stay back. They are ignoring her threats.

56° F (13°C) at dawn this morning. What the hey?!! It just doesn't do that at this time of year! (We've been hit with a bizarre, unseasonably cool, dry air mass; before long, we'll be back to our regularly scheduled humidity).
