Sadly over the years this fair has become less 'farmer's' and more 'fair', but there is a grange food stand that makes the BEST pies. I'm already salivating over their peach/wineberry pie.

Peach/wineberry pie? That sounds interesting and good! I've never heard of wineberry, so had to look it up. Wish we had some around here, but doesn't sound likely.

Good link about wineberries - I disagree with one statement. I don't feel that they are sweeter than raspberries. In my opinion they are more tart. Picking them is tedious, but one year when I was a kid there was a bumper crop. I picked a bunch, and Mom made the best jelly that I have ever tasted.

The food used to be the main attraction at the farmers markets in the UK.

Oh yes even out here scones raspberry and blackberry and elephant ears at the fair here... morning all thanks for the coffee horrible up at 6 here not solid reason but couldn't get the body to sleep more

Morning! Thanks for the coffee. Back home from running DS$ up to wrestling camp and so I guess I will change out the clothes and get to work...

Funny but yes still change into "play clothes" those we work around home in others we where out.. I have a collection of oversized shirts I like to wear around home
