Did he say whether that kind of conditioning made their aggression worse? Very interesting.
He says not. He hasn't found that aggression breeds through either.
The Ghan Reza Asils don't need any encouragement to fight; that's part of the problem.
The better fighters apparently are less aggressive but fitter and more agile. They are not human aggressive handled properly.
I don't know much about the subject apart from what I've seen here. I'm trying to learn because I hope to have a pair from Mohammed next year.

The man who died who used to have these Asils before Mohammed bought them kept written records of his birds. His father kept records as well just not as thorough.
These are rather special fowl. Nobody has tired to breed them to look a particular way; they've been bred to be fit and smart. They learn very fast and don't get as fazed as say the fowl I have about changes and challenges, and the lot I have are no dummies. The last new male came from Pakistan a few years ago. The male before that came from Turkey.
Eggs, pulletts and cockerels used to be swapped at the fight meetings. There is a whole network of retired fighting game fowl keepers here.
If you wanted so called quality birds, these people have them.
