I read you say this is because of the risk of fire, I assume caused by a powerline going to ground at some point. It seems to me that the lines need some investment if they are that risky.

We got the winter horse hay today. DH is still working with the tractor helping to get it stacked.
We got the sheep hay the other day, only 100 bales. I like having only 5 sheep. Much less work.

This is the truth!

There is a huge problem with infrastructure here in the US. I watched some documentary a while ago about just how bad it was. Not just power lines but railroads, regular roads, power plants, etc. it’s all extremely old and really hasn’t been upgraded since it was built I don’t think? And the power lines especially sag heavily in some places or have trees growing over them, etc. it was saying we’re due for another huge power outage/blackout or else it would be very easy for there to be another with how bad a shape the grid is in. It said there was some huge multistate blackout a while ago? It said it could happen again.

This is all very true!

Also, until very recently, The Federal Government would not let crews in to trim lines on their property. The fire last year that destroyed most of the town of Paradise started on Federal land
