Thanks, Debby. Princess is out to lunch with 2 of her friends so it is just me rattling around in this house. More cookie making to ensue when she returns.

Sour, are you still using up your tomatoes with BLT's?

A friend called yesterday, and I told him that I was helping make cookies. His reply was: "I was raised Catholic. I know all about doing penance." I really do enjoy working with her, but am not the 'BOSS' on this job.

Sour, are you still using up your tomatoes with BLT's?

Last week I stretched the last tomato to make two mozzarella/Bibb lettuce/tomato/Balsamic Vinaigrette salads and two BLT sandwiches. I am now at a loss for lunches. Needles to say all of the above food endeavors had skimpy tomato on them.

The tomatoes carried on a long time though! When can you start new plantings? March or April?

Realistically anything planted prior to mid May might be subject to frost. When my Mom was alive she would call this time of year and tell how she was eating her fresh picked tomatoes - Florida - she always planted a fall/winter garden.

I used to help out at a dog kennel a long long time ago and someone brought in a bull terrier, I wanted to bring it home so bad. It was all white and it's personality was just hilarious to me.

When my husband and I first moved to where we are right now we were going to get ice cream with our pit mix. She is very well behaved in public and we were bringing her to get an ice cream with us, this little girl saw her and wanted to pet her. So I told the girl to let Anabelle smell her first and then she could pet her. Her mother didn't care, but her father flipped out saying that she was a pit bull and how dare I let his daughter pet my dog

The little girl loved her so much and my dog just sat there and let the little girl play with her. Her father definitely got under my skin, but I just continued to let his daughter pet her to show him that the breed is not bad.

OMG people are ridiculous!! I hate that people hate dogs just because of its breed!! Personality/behavior should be a bigger factor and clearly your dog was friendly, well behaved, and not vicious at all!!

Plus I think she’s adorable and kinda looks almost a little bit hound or something to me and has a tiny adorable head and doesn’t look like most “pits” so I don’t know how he even jumped to that conclusion about her haha

I would not have stayed that calm. I probably would have freaked out lol

I think because of her face structure and the smile. She definitely has a pit smile.

I'm usually calm to people for the most part unless I'm having a bad day then I can't control what comes out of my mouth

That makes sense!! She definitely does!! But she’s so adorable!!

and that makes sense. I normally hate confrontation and don’t even like standing up for myself usually but you insult or hurt my animals? No way I’m keeping quiet

My dogdidnt get her feelings hurt she threw it back in his face though when she was licking his daughters face. When we bring her to the kennel, they all bring her for rides or to the pet store because they love her. She hangs out at the desk too.

That is AWESOME!! She seems like a great dog.
