Grey and damp and a virulent virus have you waxing poetic!Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made. Tea bags and kettle on the counter. Still no milk I'm afraid. I'll probably have to gather together my new going out attire. It used to be tobbaco, lighter and of course a few Euros in cash money and go and forage for a couple of litres.
I need a bag now for the gloves, bottle of alcohol an assortment of face masks, cudgel to beat back the panic shoppers and various bits of paper to say why I'm out and about.
On the bright side I don't need to take the tobacco and lighter any more. They didn't weight much.
The money business is proving to be more of a problem than usual. "Don't you have plastic?" is a common question in shops now. It was heading that way anyway. I'm expecting a new machine on the shop counters much like the machine that checks that notes are not forgeries, that detects virus contamination. I expect there will be sever penalties if one isn't stoned to death by the masses, that's if the masses are allowed out, should the virus alarm on the checking machine go off.
Still, now that everyone looks the same with the masks on I reckon I'm in with a shout if I have to leg it.
I've never been much of a shopping fan. I have been more enthusiastic in the past when my wallet bulged, these days with the anorexic slab of leather that contains my worldly wealth and choice is limited, it's even less fun than it was.
Even the temporary delight of ripping open those special purchases has gone now that one is advised to leave imported packaging outside for three days to decontaminate. This adds major stress for me because it means I have to think three days ahead. You can see I'm not all that clever at the long term planning by the lack of milk.l
I don't suppose I could interest you all in green tea with no milk or sugar could I?
Oh arr, grey and damp here.
I'm very impressed with you for having quit the cigs. I'm fortunate enough to have never been addicted to any type of drug so I don't know what it takes to kick it. But I've been around those who have and it seems a tough thing to do.
