Done dealing with people and towns. The only bright side is a couple of the homeless are back on the streets. Spent a while chatting to one. Apparently many were more, or less forced into dormitories which of course, given the appaling state discovered in many of the old peoples homes and the rapid spread of Covid in such places, wasn't a safe feeling place. A few 'escaped' and a couple are now in prison.
I bought some food for both. I know with one if they've got cash money they'll get pissed.
Another interesting thing that not many will have thought about is the prostitutes. No street, no trade. There were a couple in their usual spots on the C35 when I drove by.
That's the good news. The not so good is it's pissing down again with thunder and lighting going full tilt on the ridge. Spectacular no doubt but I'm bored with wet trousers.

It's not the work so much as missing sleep . 4 hours is just not enough.

Most night’s I only get 2 to 3 hours. Then have to take naps.

Ugh, poor you! I can sleep 10 to 12 hours most nights!

Progress report...
Got a bit over half of this infernal border off the wall.

Pried open the coat closet door, removed it from it's painted on hinges and belt sanded about half of it.

Got the kitchen wiring squared away. Installed the switch controlled receptacle in the cabinet over the sink that will run all the under cabinet LED lights.
Switched around the cabinets so I can install an over the range microwave and installed the receptacle for it.
Sent power into the pantry for the recessed LED light I'll install there when it arrives.
Replaced all the devices with new.
Patched the walls where I'll be installing backsplash tiles.

Got all the doors and drawers fronts off and labeled and brought home a bag of hinges and screws to boil in vinegar water to clean up for refinishing.

do/did you have woodchip wallpaper in the US? It was very popular here in the 1970s and thereabouts, because it is very good at disguising any irregularities in the wall surface. It is an utter nightmare to get off
