BYC Café

All this talk of ice cream and other frozen goodies.
Had an Oreos ice cream cake at a friends bday party the other night,
It was delicious!
Her mom sent me home with a slice of homemade mint chip ice cream pie,
am saving that for my bday Sunday.
Have yogurt and OJ concentrate to stock up on those push up pops for the heat wave next week.
Now am thinking for my annual raspberry sorbet and chocolate ice cream orgy,
will also get a chocolate cookie pie shell and extra raspberry sorbet and orange sherbet and make pie out of that.
Oh and bread's done, sloppy joes simmering now for dinner...still cool enough now for hot food.

Good morning Cafe.
Coffee is made.
The weather forecast hasn't got a clue today. What was forecast for Sunday seems to have got here early. Had a few spots of rain early this morning and now it's mostly cloudy and humid. They say mid thirties for temperature, which is going to make for a very sticky day.
Snakes, lizards and geckos all out trying to catch a few rays. Judging from the racket during the night the wild boar have moved down the mountain.

I hate ending up with a single baby!
Well... this little one was happily welcomed by her cousins. Her cousins were thrilled to have their adoptive mother back with them.
I opened the brooder door and put Astrid on the floor. She made her way into the brooder, chick in tow. I had just put food in the bowl for the bantams and the hatchling walked up and started pecking at it with them. They treated her like she'd been there all along.

Good morning Cafe.
Thanks for the coffee Shad.
Great news about Astrid and Co, DL!

It's a lovely day here, and the mushrooms have started to appear, to complement the changing colours of the leaves. Autumn really has come early. I don't mind as long as winter doesn't follow suit, and we get a relatively long autumn not a relatively long winter.

Good morning, Café. Thanks for the coffee, Shad. Loving it this morning!
I bought paint for mom's house yesterday. That's an exciting step in the reno!
I'm pouring the SLU in the bathroom this morning and finishing sanding the walls and caulking for paint. I'll also lay some tile today.
