I hope things go your way Tonya! And hopefully your friend doesn't get laid off either. But apparently it is going to suck for some people.Good morning Café. Coffee is on.
I heard from a friend we are having layoffs at work. Said friend is concerned that she is on the chopping block. I hope not. I don't want to be on it either.

Nah, they would go on and on and on about that beautiful egg they laid.I wonder if roosters laid eggs there would be less drama.![]()
10 years is a long time. The battery in my little string trimmer died and I bet it wasn't used even 50 hours. I suspect the batteries are expensive, I haven't looked. I could only run the trimmer about 20 minutes before it needed a 45 minute charge. I just use my Stihl FS90 gas trimmer, runs for 45 minutes before needing more gas. Besides being double string (instead of single) I have a cultivator head for it and a saw blade for those bigger/thicker stalked things that beat the string up as much as it beats them up.It is old! I have had it for going in 10 years and the battery cannot hold a charge to let me mow the front or back yard. And the yard is small!
You live in a drought prone area, replace the grass with stones or Astroturf, it will be cheaper than the new battery

I suspect those $300 batteries are "speciality" and not made in great quantities. And 3 regular 12V automotive for $69? I wouldn't expect those to last long.I can buy the three 12 volt batteries for $69.00. A new one like this one is over $300.00 new
