BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is on.
There was one short area where we didn't quite have enough underlayment to reach the ridge. I went out to got another roll but I didn't go up and put it on because it was dark when we got back and rain was not in the forecast.
It rained last night... I'll likely end up having to pull off the underlayment I put down so the decking and underside of the the underlayment can dry. Great.

Mornin', y'all!:frow

Thanks for the coffee, DL.

Surely you knew that it would have to rain if you left part of that roof unprotected . . . kinda like how it will rain 30 minutes after you paint something that needs 2 hours of drying time, or treat a lawn with a spray that needs time to be absorbed to work properly. :th

I'm exhausted.
We got the tear off done on both stories on the south side of the roof.
Got the I&W barrier and underlayment on up to the ridge.
We weren't able to get a shingle ladder. Went down to the rental place 20 before closing, walked in the back door, lights off, can't find anyone. Finally the owner shows up and tells us that he shut everything down. WTH? You don't shut down until you CLOSE!!
Now I'll have to lug the shingles up the ladder a 1/2 bundle at a time.

The good news is I'll sleep like the dead tonight.
That looks like a long job!

Just that lone pullet?
Yep.

Now I'll have to lug the shingles up the ladder a 1/2 bundle at a time.
UHG!
I remember doing that on the coop shed 10 years ago, now don't think I could even get up the ladder and onto the roof.

It rained last night... I'll likely end up having to pull off the underlayment I put down so the decking and underside of the the underlayment can dry. Great.
DOUBLE UHG!!
Hope there are clear skies ahead(not here) or you have some really big tarps

Good afternoon Cafe.
Time for another pot methinx; it's a run-of-the-mill Sainsbury's house blend this time.

not in the forecast
rubbish forecasting has happened so many times here that I don't rely on them anymore. 'Belt and braces' or 'whatever' approach is now followed, depending on my mood :p

Good afternoon Cafe. Back from the field trial. Rabbit supply was low indeed. Ran 3 dogs and success came from an unlikely source. Tanner has always been a bit questionable - to the point that I have offered him to a couple that just lost the last dog I gave them 10 years ago. On a mediocre run he came back 6th high defeated and put on such an outstanding run in second series that they moved him to the top of the class. I knew that the potential was there, but was still surprised and thrilled. Sort of hope they feel it is too soon for another dog. :p
