BYC Café

Good morning, Cafe'. Coffee has been brewed.

Congrats, your dogs are doing great!

They/I have had a great year. Right now, I think that we are done for the year. Any more trials will probably involve longer travel, and an overnight stay. Problematic given the present health situation. We'll see.

Don't forget to eat and stay hydrated.

I think that was half my problem yesterday. I don't believe that I drank enough and temps were in the mid 70's. Tanked up like a camel last night, but still have a slight headache and feel like someone beat the crap out of me with a 2 X 4. :hmm Momma said there'd be days like this. Going to be a beautiful 'Indian Summer' day here, and I intend to use it gently.

Good morning, Cafe. Thanks for the coffee, Sour. Sorry to see you were up so early. :hmm
Take it easy.
Our forecast read, and I quote, BRILLIANT sunshine and mild. High of 70. These days are perfectly timed for the buyer and I to finish up the outside work that requires warm dry weather.
I've got to snag those two crates of pallet scrap before someone else does. I only bought 2 cords of wood for this year. That will be enough to get through the season provided I get at least 4 truck loads of pallet scrap. I still think this winter is going to be cold.

Funny you should mention that. I drank nearly a half gallon of water today and my lips are still chapped!
I have some experience working hard. Be sure to get some electrolytes in. I have cared for roofers in the hospital in terrible pain during hot weather from dehydration .

I only ever drink plain ice water. Do you think save-a-chick will work? :p

Unexpectedly found an egg while pooh-picking today: Harlech has started laying! I thought that if they hadn't started by the autumn equinox, they wouldn't till we passed the winter solstice (because of day length). But I'm not complaining - the adults all stopped to molt some time ago, and we've almost run out of their eggs, so her timing couldn't be better. It's a pale olive colour, which is also great, because I don't have any other green layers. And, for a first egg, a very respectable 59 g :D
