That's a nice way to 'transition'. I used the feature that allows to dictate and then will transform to text for quite a while

My kids both use "voice to text," mostly to hasten the rate at which they can reply, but it does require some pretty sharp proof-reading skills!

Nasty line of storms came thru last evening, wind<cringe> almost half inch of rain(the garage didn't flood tho) and lots of thunder and lightening...and a 30° drop in temps.

Hey, someone took the pot of coffee. I brewed another.

It's a BIG transition for some. A former coworker of mine was so attached to his flip phone when it died, he found a rebuilt unit of the same make and model and transferred to that. He did it twice before he just couldn't find one again and then finally got a smart phone.
It was quite traumatic for him. He will "text" on it by recording his voice instead of typing a reply.

That would be me. Got a new flip phone last spring. Texting is a treat for sure.

Bit of both.
No, or very poor, cell signal at my place, plus the costs, plus I'm a contrarian at heart.
Don't really need one...tho it's isolated me even more, because texting seems to be the only way people communicate anymore...and since Covid, facetime or zoom or...SMH.
When I give out my land line number I have to be sure to tell them 'NO texting'.
I used to be rather tech savvy, I learned computers using DOS, now I'm a hopeless luddite.
