BYC Café

It's nice you stopped by. :hugs

I hope you don't start crying when you think of your dad. I only get slammed while I'm working on his house. I'm okay other times.
Thanks! :hugsLuckily I don’t. My dad had some funny quirks & usually when I think of him I’m laughing.

My dad has been heavy on my mind this week. Funny little things keep popping up that make me think of him. The smell of cheap paint, persimmons, quirky quotes, a call from his sister... there are too many to list & they’ve all been hitting me at once the last few days.
holidays bring out all sorts of memories---a new grandson is bittersweet when I think of how my parents would have loved seeing him---DO hold onto your memories--and pass along their stories

Good evening Cafe! I have a late pot of tea here for anyone. One small special cup for me this late. I am so happy to be here. Thank you for resurrecting this thread, especially in this year. At this time. I was reading it backwards, so I think I will start at the beginning.

Laughter is the best medicine! Memories are meant to be passed along.

I wouldn't go back that far! We wouldn't "see" you again for years!
I read in several pages and then realized I was in a different era. Went to the end and started going backwards. I realized I missed a lot. Kinda like this whole year has been. So much going on, no idea what day it is. Here we are at the end.

I got chickens in April of this year and they have consumed my entire year. Everyone had a COVID garden except me. We are still building the ladies home. At least they are out of my kitchen!

The silver lining has been this group of people. Some may not see eye to eye, but the end goal is the same! So much knowledge. I had no idea how fun chickens are!

Great to meet such a bunch of good eggs! Ha!
