On a more positive note, today I discovered that someone nearby keeps some splendid looking double-laced Barnevelders. I plan to find her and see if I can get some hatching eggs next time one of mine goes broody![]()
My eyes just went from blue to green!! I've been trying to find the same breed hatching eggs to pop under my next broody too! Lucky you.![]()
I had him cap 17 and I flagged it and showed the buyer so he'd know. You could have broken the jumper off and left it on 2 circuits. And left a note so the new people would knowI had 2 circuits in every room in my prior house, but not in a single device. That WOULD have been weird ... and probably against code.
What did the electrician do with the circuit 17 wire? Or did he leave the device on 17 and cap off 24? Either way a note regarding that device would likely be well appreciated. The people we sold our prior house to are quite happy they can contact me with questions. Nothing like being able to talk to the person who put in all the plumbing and electrical even if it was 30 years ago.
That depends on the area and the electrician. Thanks for the welcome, everyone! Here's my question.
We bought some property that adjoins ours through foreclosure. The electric to a big pole barn was disconnected many (10-20?) years ago. The wires are there, but physically cut. I don't know what shape any electrical box might be in. My husband thinks "it won't be that much" to have the power turned back on out there. I think he's dreaming, and we're looking at thousands.
I know it's probably gonna happen, eventually. Any guesses as to what I need to think about, cost-wise?
That depends on the area and the electrician.
Is the pole barn the only improvement on the property? Or is there a house on the property as well? Where does the electric come from that ends at the pole barn?
