How did it go? I hope she is fine and recovering well.

4.5 hours at the eye surgeon is exhausting, and I didn't even have the surgery. She has a little bit of pain and light sensitivity, but not bad. She's in her chair in the living room, covered with a blanket with the TV on. I fed her and put the 7:30 eyedrops in. Looks like I am in charge of Maggie Mae tonight. Daughter wore her out playing, and she is sleeping too.

glad it went well. Tell her it's real important to not lower head too much-- makes strain and painful!!

When I told DH about his brother he was naturally shocked. I brought up some pictures of him and his brother on his phone and he cried.
The only actual benefit of Alzheimer's is that his mind is incapable of dwelling on the loss and I've managed to cheer him up and make him laugh many times. I helped him call 3 of his siblings. We couldn't reach the other 2.
They don't know if they can have a funeral or if so how. We'll learn more near the end of the week. I still don't know what actually happened to his brother.

So sad! 😕 I hope you don’t have to break the bad news to him over & over & over again.

It sounds like the surgery went well but long

Hi ! I'm a green horn at chickens. Only a year under my belt. I have 11 girls, and they are a hoot. My husband says they are too tame. I have accidentally left the door cracked and they will come in like "I'm here,I'm hungry". Going to have to adjust the door before summer for sure. I don't know if I will get back to work anytime soon so they keep me company. You get perspective watching them. Never stressed enjoying life happy just going about the day. We are in full winter here so a cafe sounds great.
