Good morning everyone! I am fairly certian that when i go out to let my chickens out i am going to find a dead rooster. He attacked my littlest, thing 2, for real, not just bluff this time. She is ok, scratched up a bit, but nothing permanent. DH wacked him hard and caught him, cut off his spurs. I think the hit was more then the rooster could handle. If he lives i will get him processed as soon as i can. If he dies i will happily dispose of him.

I would not have waited to send any bird on their way to the afterlife, after that happened. I send them on their way if they attack me, let alone a little one.
I do hope that Miss thing2 does not end up scared of chickens after this.
Hope she heals up and all is well soonest possible.

I have had Jersey Giants that were very laid back and mellow, other breeds might also have good Roo's as a rule I don't know.
Good luck with the hunt for a Roo.
Scott (DH Did good, just needed 1 more wack)
