Are you going to try fermenting yourself when they're ready?

That would entail purchasing a fermenter. My friend already has one so I'll let him do the honors. I trade him eggs for black garlic.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I talked to normal sister and asked if either my niece (16) or nephew (18) could stay with DH from when I leave for work until Nan gets here. My nephew, the one who will be tending the flock when we are on vacation, is coming over this morning! I'm only paying him $25 a day but he just has to be here to make sure DH doesn't leave. He is going to do his homework and then whatever he wants to do. Whatever he'd normally do at home. But he'll get $25 to do it. His sister will be the one who normally will stay with DH but she is in Kentucky until this Sunday.

I'm quite pleased I managed to make arrangements for DH so quickly. I was going to just have Nan with him during waking hours but considering the intents of the wackos down the hill, I felt the need to protect him better.

Another warm and sunny day and we just sipped a mug of coffee sitting on the terrace watching bumblebees, brimstone butterflies and white wagtails enjoying this wonderful day.
The stork is finally back and our red kites too, all very busy upgrading their aeries to prepare for the upcoming breeding season.

Yes, I've had it! It's fabulous. I used an entire bulb in a Crock-Pot of beef stew once and it really ramped up the flavor.

How did the aftermath ramp up the olfactory sense of your co-workers, did they like it?

I will get some when I get home! I have a couple pics of them in the incubator, but by the time I took them out I was pooped. They are so darn cute when they're all fluffed up. Lots of black and lots of grey, a few chipmunk and that funky chocolate one.

Yes.
The thing is, if they drove up and saw a car here, they'd turn right around.
If CS or UN saw either niece or nephew answer the door, they'd think twice before starting trouble because it would blow back in their faces. They would then be getting more family involved and would risk my mother finally doing what she should have done 1 week after CS arrived. Send her packing.
