I figured out how to stop the snow here. Weeks ago, they were predicting more snow, I went out and bought 4-25 lb. bags of ice melter.. Haven't had snow or ice since. But Carrying the bags down to the basement really did a number on my dominant arm.

I carried the bags one at a time down the stairs, other arm held on to the railing because I tend to miss the last step and run right into the wall at bottom of stairs.

All I know is weeks later my right(dominant) arm is still sore - the crybaby :smack
It does take me longer to recover from injuries as I get older!

Well, the tests are inaccurate, IMO, especially the instant ones.
So much of this stuff is still in 'development'.
The fast covid that they do here on the UC Davis Campus is in the 95% accurate range for both positive and negative tests.

That 5% error can lead to quit a few missed cases when thousands to millions are tested though.

Not really we have come a long way it was poo pooed by the past admin that is where we lost ground .. Sorry but I beleive that lot's of folks died and still are
India is in bad shape currently. Thousands a day are dying there from covid. When the totals are adjusted, it will be a very high number.

What I hope is that we as a Country will learn from this Pandemic so that the next one won't be as bad.

I suspect that the polio and measles pandemics were not as bad because of the lessons our ancestors learned from the 1918 flu pandemic. The last pandemic that hit the US was the flu pandemic of 1958 so we forgot what to do.

As humans we can be pretty stupid sometimes I agree
pandemics are dime a dozen now like the flu this will continue to change
Covid is supposed to be with us now like the flu. There will be something else that comes along...hopefully not too soon though!
