Floor a bit wonky there ?
Well... yeah. It's scabbed together with scrap lumber I found laying around. Two of the "joists" are very warped pcs of 2x4 from the old run that I tore down 2 years ago. Two of the pieces of plywood are 3/4" remnants my BIL let me have. Under the temporary floor are the stairs to my basement. I needed something to put the step ladder on so I can reach the ceiling.
I currently can't get down to the basement without unscrewing the pc of OSB then dropping down between two joists.
Yesterday, the hardwired smoke detectors kept going off for no particular reason other than to terrify the dogs. I had to go down to the electric panel to turn off the circuit to them but the batteries kept them going. :barnie
I found a can of compressed air and hit all three of them with and that blew got out some spider webby dust and they haven't gone off since.
Laundry is off the list until I get the stairwell finished and that will be a few days.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.
I will be icing mine down. We'll crest 90 today.

I took the dogs in yesterday for their annual exams and blood work.
Skittles has been coughing a bit more (he is in the early stages of congestive heart failure and has been for over a year) so I've been tweaking his furosemide over the last 3 weeks. His blood work indicates he's in the early stages of kidney failure now.
He is going to be transitioned over to Purina NF. He is almost (is?) 14. He's adopted so who knows.
Bella also had one elevated kidney parameter but the vet wasn't concerned about it. I am so I will be cutting her Orijen with Acana to drop the protein content to something more like 34%.

A river ran thru it again, but only where it was supposed to :yesss:
We got 2" of rain yesterday but it was spread out with only a few short downpours.

More storms headed in later, some possibly severe, this is the part that freaks me out:
"The main threat from severe storms will be small pockets of damaging winds."

I installed these stones for a temporary walkway until I can get the permanent walkway in. It's better than trotting through mud during mud season.

I got these solar LED lights (3 pairs) when we were on vacation in DE. The owners were installing them on the guard posts on the stairs when we got there. They have seeded glass and are ORB finished and go really well with the light fixtures we have at our house. These will help illuminate the main walkway for DH. Well, and me.

I'm gone 12+ hours a day when I work and the dogs are accustomed to having someone here all day. I've asked my niece to let them out for me at 1:30. She did but Bella tends to not take care of business because she's still so concerned about being left behind.

When I got home from work Tuesday, she'd peed on this area rug. I used my Rug Doctor on it but I couldn't get the smell out. When that girl pees, she pees a lake. So I took it outside and saturated it with the hose, squished Dawn all over the peed on area, worked it in then spent maybe 20 minutes rinsing it. It's 93F out now with bright sunshine. Should dry it well.

Good evening café!

I'll probably pay just a short visit, hoping the internet connection will last a bit.

I like your new solar lights @DobieLover. We are still looking for new ones to install along our garden paths, but have not yet been successful finding them. What kind of light is it, warm or cold/blueish?

I am not sure what is on the list of things to do besides play with the kitten!
Would love to have a cat/kitten again, but as long as Willi (Foxterrier) is alive, we will have to postpone it. Ollie (Airedale) had a red kitten brother growing up, so he would be fine with cats.

Stay safe and cool everyone!
