I LOVE hearing the first crows!
My boy Darl crowed -- if you can call it that -- at 8 weeks. Little squeaky voice.

I don't want to hear any first crows this chick go around. :) I am cautiously optimistic that they are all pullets, as they are supposed to be.

They have been out in their side of the run today. Lark, lowest hen of the pecking order, grabbed the Jubilee Orpington chick through the fence and made her squawk. She pulled out a few feathers. I wonder if the Orp is being targeted because she has very different colors and is the only one with speckles, or if she is not smart enough to stay far enough from the fence so Lark can't reach her? And, boy, is Lark reaching her head through as far as she can!

That is great!
Maybe he can be renamed from Useless to Useful :D
Don't hold your breath.
I've been trying to instill the importance of having a decent credit score and how to achieve it.
He bought a ring for his girl friend that he couldn't afford and wasn't making on time payments. My BIL was riding him about finding out what he owes and getting it taken care of.
I had him log on to Credit Karma and found out that his credit score is less than 480 and late payments are the least of his worries. He has TWO collection accounts on his report. I told him what he needed to do to take care of it and he didn't do it. He still utterly lacks in motivation.
Hopefully he will find and put on his Big Boy Panties very soon.
