BYC Café

I was swallowed up by the Kracken! After my last posting, I took off to the stables to clean and set out the PM feed in the stall/run for my horse at 7AM, sunny and warm (+32F) I was just finishing up the run when the air shifted a bit 7:15am so I hurried to dump the wheelbarrow on the compost pile. I then was gathering and storing the equipment when the breeze sniffed by at 7:20am.
I was closing the gate 7:25am and I saw the grey wall rounding the aspens and heading towards me over the arena with its long swirling tentacles rushing at me. I had time to say,
" That is freaking cool looking!" when I was hit by a wall of wind and blinding snow and I drove home in whiteout conditions, 7:30am. IT WAS AWESOME!
Needless to say, my power and internet are now back on from today's adventures and school got canceled up here in the hills too.
I am glad that you are so tough the Kracken spat you out unharmed! :yesss:

Sunny again today and back to breezes. I did not see any damage from yesterday's wind.
Tomorrow we are heading up to the big city of Greeley for a wrestling tournament and that will be a nice change of pace, lol! DS# will be feeding the critters here.
Not much else going on...

There is a horrible rumour going around that daughters husband and I are cooking the Christmas foood.
Then I guess you will be tired but the guests will eat well.

It's rainy and heading into the 60s today. I could have sworn it was December. Maybe I'm in the Twilight Zone.
Save a seat for me in the Zone Tonya! Similar, though slightly cooler, weather here today.

Good for you having the skills and confidence to drive in those conditions. I suppose if one sees a lot of that type of weather one gets used to it to a certain degree.
No. Driving in whiteout conditions is very dangerous. If you are lucky you get home unscathed. Less lucky you end up off the road. Even less lucky, you end up dead.

Cancelled the tv at best buy
A Christmas present for someone else! You saved their Christmas!

Windy here, but so far, no damage and we still have power. It was 60 degrees when I went to bed, 62 when I got up. (Checking the calendar...)
