I need some sunshine. I think if it were sunny out now, I'd be and have been working outside for hours and wouldn't have even thought about the nap.

Napping to the sound of rain on the roof is nice, though.

Yeah, maybe about dinner time. Too late for much besides walking Freya.

Sometime between 1 and 3, usually sleep for 30-60 minutes.


Got the floodlight out and looked all under the coop shed for the stray, no sign of her.
Did find another egg tho.

Meet my first support group.
They aren't free though. It cost me a tin of sardines and an apple core.
They had no advice to offer but still made me feel a little better.

I want to write something but I don't really know what. I have no idea what you are going through, or how people find support in similar circumstances.
I know it's going to be hard.

We have 80mph winds on tap for tonight. I am thinking some trees will be coming down!

Do you have to deal with them quickly? Unless the fallen tree was blocking the track we often left the more inaccessible ones until the ground conditions were suitable. The cutting can go wrong very quickly when you're having trouble staying upright.

Good evening Cafe.
Looks like winter forgot a few of it's ice and frost devils and came back to collect them.
I'm winding myself up to repaint the kitchen. I painted it a few weeks ago but have now decided I don't like the colour.
I seem to have aquired some semblance of a social life. A social life is really inconvenient isn't it. People have expectations. Asking people of my age, and many not in as good condition, to sit on the floor because there is only one comfortable chair I am told is not acceptable. No worries, I bought another comfortable chair just like the other one.
I bought a table. I went all the way to Wales to pick it up. Sorted I thought. I can have people to dinner. Course, they'll be needing chairs to sit on. A couple of people I'm expecting are on the large side so the chairs need to be decent. I wont get many dinner guests if word got round that someone came to dinner and the chair collapsed and they died from the injuries.
Yes I know I'm whinging but this social business is costing money! Didn't have all this nonsense with the chickens. There's food on the floor chaps. They were fine with it.

Could you go to their place? It's always more work to be the host.

I've bought a bag of the special expensive kind hoping some of our former cafe patrons come back for a hot mug and some chatting...
