BYC Café

Hopefully we see it here!! :D
pllleeeeasssseeee?
:ya

Awwww. Come on Tonya, we all need a good laugh!!!

Good Grief @DobieLover sound like you came out here ..
same crap form our transfer stations.
We can't go to the transfer station, our town opted not to join the solid waste district.
Only option for Tonya's loads would be to pay the trash hauler to bring a dumpster to the house. It would cost WAY more than the $40 she paid.

DL, if you were within driving distance, I'd be there to help!
She is!!! Only 10 hours. You can easily be there in the morning. Start the coffee pot Tonya, Sally is on her way!

Brought a pot of coffee, and some milk if you want it.

Wed-Fri we stand a chance of seeing the sun. I sure hope so. We also stand a chance of frost. So it goes.

One of my pullets, Widget, is going broody. Yesterday, she spent the day on the nest, but got off around 6:30. At lock up, she was back on the nest, and I had to take her out and block the nests off. I have a broody breaker and I'll put it to use if she's still doing this tomorrow afternoon. I have errands to run in the morning.

Dang, I wish I were in a position to hatch some chicks! The eggs are still showing bullseyes, and I'd love to see what BO over my girls would look like. But now is not a good time. The flock I have is meeting my needs, and the coop/run setup is working well for them.

I'll have to get my chick fix here on BYC.

Good morning Cafe and thanks for the coffee, Sally.

The tarps blew off the roof yesterday and I was having one hell of a time getting them back up before the rain last night. The neighbor saw me up on the roof and started yelling about M&C coming over to see the dogs as they will be letting them out for me during my work days and giving Skittles his pill. I could barely hear him so he came over and said "do you need help?". Well... yeah, I need help. So he climbed up and between the two of use we got the tarps nailed to the house with cap nails. Those suckers aren't going anywhere until I rip them off.

I had another tree fall on the netting. Thankfully this one was long dead and very light but it fell on the very first section of fencing closest to the charger and ripped the wire right out of the charger.

I have a miniature turkey strutting around to coop floor and along the nest box perch too. I also don't want to grow my flock but when we get back from DE I'm going to let her set on four Barnevelder eggs. I'll advertise the chicks once they hatch and I know if they are pure or mutts. If they're pure I'll sell them for $2 a chick but whoever takes them has to take ALL of them. If they're mutts, I'll give them away. Same deal. ALL or NOTHING. They will be getting chickens for dirt cheap that are around 5-6 weeks old and off heat. That's a pretty good deal.
You could try the same thing just for the experience. It really is the best part of watching chicken behavior.

I have more hatching today and more locking down as well. I better sell a lot at the big swap!
