Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I got 2 hits on my Nextdoor ad.

One woman warning me off on the horribly unreliable contractor that had customers buy thousands of dollars of materials for a job but never showed up to do the work. Turns out he's my neighbor that's been promising me a stone retaining wall for years.

And a contractor who gave me his number. I'll call him in a while and feel him out to see what he knows then ask for references where I can go look at his work and talk to the clients.

Ugh, I need some coffee this morning. Had a humdinger of a thunderstorm last night and the power went out. Didn't sleep well too to being to warm and being concerned about all my chicks without heat lamps! Thankfully they were all fine.

They're too little still. I picked them up from the post office on Wednesday.

Got about an inch and half of rain between 10-1.
Good light and sound show too.
Garage leaked a bit, not enough to have to clean up.
Run got flooded for sure.
Drains were not cleared, DOH!

We got some rain here too. I haven't looked to see how much, but wow, did it pour about 11:30! I don't remember any thunder or lightning.

Here's the new run furniture, a chicknic table. All scrap wood, left over paint. New screws. It'll go into the run Wednesday, probably. I'm letting the paint cure a little longer.
