BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the coffee Shad. I never knew that about wool. But I don't really own any wool clothing.

The price of everything is skyrocketing.

Today is my last day of trying to get things buttoned up here before we leave.
I have a yard of mulch on the trailer to spread, the beams I made for the unbuilt seasonal room to haul back into the garage, move the horses they are on back into the chickens pen, a gigantic tarp to fold, mow the lawn, wash two loads of laundry, run the dogs, pack the suitcases, etc and load the car, get all DHs meds ready and write up instructions for his brother that is taking him and clean the house. I'm going to forget something. I just know it.

Skip that part. The dust/dirt will still be right where you left it when you get back. No one will steal it, it won't rot, it won't go hungry, and it won't stage a riot in protest!
I HATE coming home from vacation to a dirty house. It immediately makes me lose my sense of relaxation when I look around at the mess that now needs to be dealt with.

Now I know I have way too much on my mind.
We were leaving to go run the dogs but the trailer was still hitched to the car. So I unhitched it and we took off. As I was rolling down the driveway, the trailer was rolling right along after me!!

I forgot to chock the wheels! Unbelievably, the trailer got within 2 ft of smashing into the back of my car when it veered right and headed towards the chicken pen. But because of the weight of the load it managed to stop about 1 ft before smashing through the netting. And it came to a stop and didn't roll back.
OMG, that could have been a disaster. Time to slow down.

Another hot one on tap.
Got chicken supplies procured and stored.
First step in the 'throw to mow' scenario is done, tractor moved so thrower is over storage pallet, many more to go.....
Remove thrower, weights, and chains from tractor.
Sharpen and install blades, install deck onto tractor.
Wonders if grass will be up to my knees(already past ankles) before all that is done? :gig

I'm going to forget something. I just know it.
Yes, and here it is:

Sit down for 5 minutes and just deeply inhale.... and exhale.... and inhale... and exhale... andsoforth, clearing your mind of every thought.

Then get up and get the rest done.
