Today is the last cool day for awhile

Same here....well, one more cooler day and am making bread today too.
Raining good here finally, after 2 days of broken forecasts......sounds nice.

I love the sound of rain. It often "makes" me need a nap.

After the summer of '88 when it was TERRIBLY dry, I have never resented the rain.

We are getting thunderstorms today so we are going to a couple more antique malls to see what can be found. I found a little antique table at a thrift store in Milford that I want. Making sure I can get it in the car for the trip home is another matter....

Almost every time I go into a junk shop or low level antique shop it ends up costing me money. Not so much on the item but the transport, the cleaning it up, the making a place for it.
Thrift stops directly after the payment for the item.

Made it hard not to roll over and sleep more this morning.

So the 4th broody was broken after 54 hours(whew!)
and the 5th(who was also the 1st, has repeated before) is now crated.
Let that be the end of it.

We have dropped and cleaned up some trees. I found out that my CA GD and family are moving out to Denver in a couple of months. I am so psyched! My weekends are looking busier and busier, in a good way!
We have rain and snow on tap for Sun - Tues. Why do I even bother to think about gardening...

This is a tired Skittles after our 2 hr hike.

It was cloudy on this mornings walk.

We ran into this monstrosity on the way up the beach.

There is a heron up the shore. On the way back a second heron showed up and we got to see first hand how solitary they prefer to be. This guy flew up under the intruder and tried to bite at it. They sound a bit like ducks when they're mad.

I wonder what lives down this hole. Probably a crab.
