I think Widget isn't broody anymore. I let her out of the crate this morning, and she's still outside. And saying more than just "bup-bup-bup-bup" endlessly.

Aw crap. Spoke too soon. She went back to the nest, so after 4-5 hours, I put her back in the crate. Sigh.

Today I was digging up sod for the "straighten the fence" project. Freya was "helping" me with the digging. She was very good and stayed nearby this morning. After lunch was a different story, and she disappeared for about 45 minutes. Scared the crap out of me. I was walking around, calling, crying, and then she just came back out of the blue. So I hugged her and cried some more. I don't know if she chased a deer, or what. I didn't hear any barking, she was just gone. She came back like nothing happened out of the ordinary.

So, back to the leash for awhile, and work on recall some more.

Today must be "the dog took off day".
After I dropped DH back off at the house, I let the dogs come out with me while I started working on the property. First I got the bonfire pit going because I have probably three solid days of burning to do out there. Then I started cleaning up and reinstalling the soffits and fascia from the opposite end from where I'm going to be doing the work.
After about 20 minutes I looked up and could see Bella running around on the deck but not Skittles. So I went out front to look for him and he had crossed the road and was hanging out on the screened in front porch with the neighbors. The little brat!

I got my car back from the repair place. I need to go split firewood to sell!
DS$ will be heading to Kearney to help with a kid's wrestling camp in 100 degree weather (Mon) and we have this on Tues night:
"A slight chance of rain showers before 2am, then a slight chance of rain and snow showers between 2am and 5am, then a slight chance of snow showers after 5am. Some thunder is also possible. Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. Breezy."
My garden is just not going to be happy with me! I am going to be draping blankets all over the place!

Yeah, @aart, DH is already complaining about next week.

He brought home a post pounder from work for the large posts we're going to set for the garden fence. That thing must weigh 45-50 lbs.
