Karen,
Did the cat sit on the keyboard after you typed your post then step on the reply key when it walked off? Just curious.

Coffee is ready.

I've had Cayuga locked in the ward since Monday so I can treat her for a doughy sour crop. I lost Mackenzie to that last year when I treated her with miconazole, thought it was all cleared up and a week later she was bad again. REALLY bad and died over night after I started treatment again.

So for Cayuga, I decided to give the acidified CuSO4 a try. I love this stuff. Her crop was normal after drinking that for a day. But I think Mackenzie's entire system was affected by the yeast and I didn't treat her long enough the first time. So Cayuga will be on the ACS for a full 7 days. I've even been making her daily mash with ACS water to make sure all fluid intake is the ACS solution.

BUT, the poor girl wants company in there so bad. She is a very sweet hen. When I toss bird seed scratch for the flock, I sprinkle a pinch over her mash bowl. She will come over and start tid-bitting, trying to coax a friend over to see what she's got to offer. She's never tid-bitted before as a mother. So cute, but kinda sad too. I can't wait until I can let her out...
