Thank you, I am quite attached to them! I can't help but love the Duchess now too. I don't even know how old she is or if she'll ever give me an egg.

Ha Just kidding but I do think you can tell something on Chickens by the color and thickness of the scales on their legs.

so I am going through my first incubation period this evening was only supposed to be day three and. ......

OK, I was turning eggs this evening, and I pulled an SC.

I candled a few, even though it's a day early. In most of the blue eggs the veining was readily apparent. In the cream or white eggs I had veining in at least half, the other half I could not tell. In the tan brown and dark brown eggs I couldn't see chit.

I'm not excited or anything. It's not like I posted this on three or four different threads.


I have started a thread in the incubating and hatching forum.

I'm screwed!
