so I am going through my first incubation period this evening was only supposed to be day three and. ......

OK, I was turning eggs this evening, and I pulled an SC.

I candled a few, even though it's a day early. In most of the blue eggs the veining was readily apparent. In the cream or white eggs I had veining in at least half, the other half I could not tell. In the tan brown and dark brown eggs I couldn't see chit.

I'm not excited or anything. It's not like I posted this on three or four different threads.

I have started a thread in the incubating and hatching forum.

I'm screwed!
So fun! I am guessing from your post that patience is not your virtue?? Are they eggs from your chickens or ones you bought. I dare not EVER buy an incubator!

You Did What?

Is that why you said that you could not be ready until next week when I asked about a HAL?
Yes Berts, you are screwed!
I went from a maybe broody to 2 broodies on 20 eggs at day 4. I am in control, I'm not addicted to hatching, I just like to see the little buggers grow up and such stuff as that!
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!!

I am seeing a smaller (by a fair bit) hen at the arrow point, is that the Duchess?
If so she must have a bit of a attitude.
Good luck with her>
Nice looking 4 wheel drive lawn tractor in the background.

Yes, the old as the hills tractor but DH loves it. And I guess you'd be impressed with the back hoe too! That piece I love, it gets a lot done around here. DH really wants a bulldozer though!

What hill is your DH wanting to move that a good back-hoe will not do? I do like tractors, have a small one with a front end loader myself for moving all of the post feeding remains to the compost pile.

Trees. Full grown trees :D

Good point! They have 44 acres and must have a few unwanted trees somewhere to move.
Bigger is Better!!

Yes, and apparently more fun. We use our Dozer for the Cedar trees that grow like weeds around here.

Yes, yes, yes and yes. 44 acres, many potential trails, and endless trees! For us it's Vine Maples, we like the Cedars. Plus it would make plowing the snow off the roads so much easier!
