Good morning everyone

I am trying to get the house into shape for thing 2 birthday. I cleaned the yard yesterday and used the beefeater, my shoulders and arms ache...but the back yard looks great.

ETA: WEEDEATER I wrote WEEDEATER..

LOL, I was trying to figure out what sort of new fangled equipment I needed to familiarize myself with.  Hope the birthday goes smoothly - how old is thing 2 going to be?

Good morning, the dogs actually slept a little later this morning. Might be because of all the "action" last evening.


As soon as DH shut down the Bobcat the coyotes started yipping. The plott hound was down in the field, racing back and forth howling, because they were on our side of the river. About 100 yards from the house. DH got the shotgun, which made the plott hound happy, and headed down to the river, dog glued to his hip. The lab, who is generally scared of such things stayed on the porch with me. Miss Wiggles, who has selective hearing, slept through the whole thing. No animals were injured...yet! Tomorrow we are going to have to go down there and find what I suspect is a carcass of a deer, as Tonka rolled in something AGAIN. He got another bath....sigh, I don't know if I can take this much excitement. The coyotes game back at 2am.

Yikes - funny you should mention coyotes, I saw one Tuesday - first one I have actually *seen* in the 13 years we've lived here (they were a common sight/sound back home) - driving into town for work and there it was, just standing about 20 yards off from the highway in the middle of a field.  I like Miss Wiggles approach to excitement, sleep through it and hear about it in the morning......

Looks like more rain is on the way this morning
Wishing that I liked mud as much as I did when I was 60 years younger.

You know, won't be too long and those of us currently being deluged will be complaining about it being too dry -- I think we just might actually see a whole day with no rain today here

She will be 2. We are having a princess party, hopefully I can make a pretty cake. And I went to Walmart, left DH home, and got a bunch of party supplies. DH hates Walmart but it is the only place that sells party supplies unless I want to drive clear to the next "city"
So we will be all decked out in pink Disney princesses this Saturday.
We have coyotes terrible here. I think it is because we have no more large predators. At most we have the occasional mountain lion and bobcat walk through. I have seen several bobcats. But they never come close to the house, unlike the coyotes.

That's some good gin right there, but a bit expensive to be cleaning the yard with!

The plants will be planted in the 5 gallon buckets this year. I won't be able to have a proper garden until next year!

The first year after my transplant I wasn't allowed to doing in the dirt so I grew my garden in 5 gallon buckets it went great and no weeding ....

I wanted to do potatoes in stacked tires.......got too busy with other projects.....

That never really worked for me... I got potatoes but not lots....

As somebody who don't know much about smart phones, is a perverted phone an option like case color?

Hoping we get a little rain today. It's been so dry this year and everything is a bit crispy.

Yeah we're are dangerously dry here too

My son and I have a lot of fun trying to figure out what auto carrot  did to each others' texts.
Sometimes we will correct auto carrot a couple of times before we hit send, and it will change it to whatever it wants it to be anyway.

 I think on a whole BYC users use some awesome vocabulary. That is why my stats are so high. I get your vocabulary and dynamic writing style credited to me.
I suppose when people useru and lol I get dinged, but, hey, I think Grammarly needs to lighten up.


Maybe you need to pace yourself, Phil, do less at one time. I hope you feel better soon.

Princess party? So glad I had boys...... I think that would kill me. Not that a boy couldn't have a Princess Party, but mine didn't. We always had to go do something active, like swimming or paintball or motocross racing. Or a hospital run......

Ohhh it is fun. Mine are not the sit quite type if princess, they are more the get muddy in our best dress kind. We will have a sprinkler going and bubbles and chalk. Though it looks like they will be the only children, ohhh well the girls will have a great time.
