My DD@ has a mare that picks what water she will go in and what water she will NOT even wet a hoof in. The water that horse wants to go in, she will try to lay down and roll, no matter if it's a mudpuddle or a 3 acre pond or the Cape Fear river, if she's in it's time to play.
Wooden bridges all have horse eating trolls with BIG teeth under them you know.

Haven't you heard of 'Shrinky Dink' trolls ? They enlarge when they come out from under the bridge.

Good morning, off to work. It's a bit dreary here today. Which doesn't help, because I'm tired and maybe crabby.

I will get the pie recipe on here soon, I assume no one needs the pie crust recipe. My dad and uncle really liked it, so I think I'll be making another one for them to take to Canada on their annual fishing trip.

I've been drinking iced coffees lately. I seem to drink more of those than regular coffee, because once I start I can't seem to stop...

Morning! Off to the 9000-9500 ft range for a ride BY a stream, not across it. Also have a back-up plan JIC. We have a week, at least, of dry, dry, dry.

Good morning!
We have a predator it would seem. I have lost 2 birds so far. I locked everyone into my brooder room last night and counted heads this morning, everyone is accounted for. The birds were unhappy with this development, I am sure they felt cramped (I usually allow them the whole barn)
When I went out i found a small bit of white fur by the door and several things in the barn knocked down...thinking it might have gotten a cat.
I called my little brother and he is coming out with a live trap.
