I agree. I always felt is was important but then last year a little three year girl drowned in her kiddie pool. Kind of spured me into action last year. Thing 2 is really too young but the teacher is willing, so I will bring her.

It is Tuesday Morning and I'm getting started on the day, a late start to be sure, but I'm started at last.
Hope all goes well with everybody's day.
Good to see you made it back Berts, was the trip worth it?

yes sir, I think it was.......good football all the way around......we watched three different age groups games. pretty spectacular football, considering three practices, and these kids were all under 13 years old.....

OFW, learning to swim is essential for 'country kids'..

That,  and spotting snakes!

Lol that is important, but all we have in this area are garter and Bull snakes here, so they are not a big worry. Rattle snakes are near, abou 60 miles to the south of us, but we have the wrong kind of environment for them, not Rocky enough, so they never really come up this way.

but the need to be able to pick only ripe, dew berries too.

Good morning....dogs had me up before 5, so I went back to bed. Just woke up, I must have needed the sleep. And the humidity is gone, thank heavens. Cooler today to.

Had a meeting yesterday, made three different Crostadas; Blackberry/Blueberry, Mixed Berry, and Strawberry Rhubarb. Can't decide which is my favorite!

Those look tasty! I am about to head out to the garden before the heat really sets in. There is a smoky haze to the air, just enough to color the sunlight but not add smell, at least up here.
Not sure how it is down on the plains.
