Made the mistake of showing her to the Princess. No more goldens for us after Dani passes.

We went out for a walk this morning because someone is a ball of energy and the big dogs do not want to play. Neither does the cat. She is doing really well in her kennel at night, she is up every three hours. If she fussed in between that I just let her fuss, it doesn't usually last too long.

I think for the next phase, I will do the dry mix of ingredients, in a 5 gallon bucket, with a drill and auger/mixer bit.........then transfer to a wheel barrow for the wet mix.......

Sounds like a lot of work; I'm sure the fished product will look fantastic!

One little one is running an 101.1°F fever and will be staying home with Mr. Grumpy today.
I have to finish building a coolerbator for the DW and don't have much time for a sick tag-along.

I've had a sick one at home too. Slept almost all day yesterday, and today he was a bit better but I still spent most of the day as Master Cuddler.

What kind of seeds did you get Treerooted? Are you getting ready for a spring garden?

Just got a few on Saturday: arugula, cabbage, kale, melon, tomatillo, sunflowers
I've got quite a few old seeds I'll be trying as well; some may be past their prime but we'll see.

Ground is still frozen solid but I'm hoping for a huge garden this year!

I'm trying seeds this year, usually I just buy transplants. But with a huge garden space I have room to experiment.

@Treerooted we had a huge garden and greenhouse in FL but haven't established anything here in WY yet due to work. But my fingers are getting itchy for the feel of some dirt so I'm hoping to get a little something going...even a couple of tomato plants or containers would be great. It's still too cold here to think of anything serious but we'll see what happens this spring.

Let me know how your sunflowers go, I love those things (maybe a holdover from growing up in KS?). Here are a couple of pictures of mine from the FL garden:

How long have you been in Wyoming?

We were in north FL and it would get cold enough to freeze in the winter. I was able to start some things in January and have them ready to set out in March. Our greenhouse had sides that could be opened up and we used it most of the year with things that needed a bit of shade. About the most tropical thing I grew were a couple of pineapple plants.

We were in the process of converting the greenhouse to a duck enclosure when we got word DH got a job here in WY and we moved here in spring of last year. Had to cancel my duck order and re-home the chickens. This is a picture of the greenhouse conversion, almost done.

Sorry - had to bring the sprouts in and get the boiled eggs off of the stove!

I have Bulgarian giant leeks, 4 kinds of tomatoes, snap peas, green beans, cabbage, 3 kinds of basil, cabbage, purslane, Italian dandelion, lemon balm, snow peas, lemon and tendergreen cucumbers, and a few other flowers. The garlic is already coming up outside. I've got a ton of other stuff to direct sow outside in a month or so.

tried 3 kinds of peppers, but none germinated since it's probably too cold. I'm going to try again with the baggie/coffee filter method, and use the top of the eco-glow brooder plate since I don't have a seedling mat.

Wow, great variety! Yum, peas...nothing can compare with fresh peas from the garden. What do you do with the Italian dandelion Friday? Do you eat it like you would other greens?
